Louis Kalff for PHILIPS Z-shape table lamp, Netherlands – 1955 #L1664
An iconic Dutch-Industrial desk or table lamp designed by Designer: and architect Louis Kalff; for the Philips Company, Holland 1955. This is the first edition with a brass frame and the black disk shaped perforated black lacquered shade. The shade is the miniature of the roof of the by Kalff in the 1950’s designed distinctive building called “Evoluon” in Eindhoven, Netherlands, which now houses the Technology Museum. The lamp is signed on top with the Philips trade mark in copper.
