We work together with excellent craftsman reupholsterers and offer every possibility available. The metal base has use and age marks but if requested it can be repainted. However our advice is to do just a new upholstery and new foam filling. Combined with the original base you get the best of both worlds.

Museum piece! Prototype for a salon chair by Gerrit Rietveld Jr. 1920 - 1961, son of the famous Dutch designer Gerrit Rietveld Sr. who was part of the 'De Stijl' group. The chair was handmade by Gerrit Rietveld Jr. circa 1955. It is labeled 'Rietveld Meubelen Hilversum' (Rietveld Furniture Hilversum). A similar chair is part of the collection of the Central Museum in Utrecht, The Netherlands (inventorynr. 27154/001-002). It is labeled 'Rietveld Meubelen Hilversum' (Rietveld Furniture Hilversum).
