SoldIconic Elda chair by Joe Colombo for Comfort, Italy - circa 1960. The leather has tears and wear. The fiberglass is in very good condition. The ‘Elda’ chair is one of the most well-known designs of Italian designer Joe Colombo. This lounge chair is one of the first designs using new material fiberglass in a great amount. Joe Colombo named this design ‘Elda’ in honor of his wife. The white fiberglass shell is fitted with black leather cushions that support the sitter from all sides. The way the leather is tufted in thick tubes characterizes the ‘Elda’ lounge chair in an unparalleled manner. The ‘Elda’ chair is also represented in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Louvre in Paris.

SoldSophisticated and very rare wall unit by Vittorio Dassi for Mobili Cantù - Italy, circa 1950-60. The inside of the cabinets and drawers are covered very luxuriously in Birch veneer and red felt. The inside shelves are made of Birch and some of glass. The large cabinet features a fold out bar and three bottle shelves. The image is an etching or handmade drawing of Poseidon, holding his famous trident, in the background you see a Genovese or Venetian ship. The cabinets, pillars and bookshelves are made of beautiful Italian walnut (part solid and part veneer) with brass details. The pillars have brass feet that are adjustable in height for leveling. It is a free standing modular system which means the shelves and cabinets can be placed differently and that it can also be used as a room divider. This is a rare, sophisticated and elegant piece that still remains in very good condition with minor signs of age and use.

The model 4867 is also known as Universale chair. The rectangular seat has two flaps on the outside. The slightly curved backrest is rectangular with rounded upper corners. Produced by Kartell in 1970'ss and designed by Joe Colombo in 1967. Logo on the back.

SoldAmazing organic shaped Italian sofa in faux fur. It is extremely comfortable and gives a cosy and warm feeling. This is a true original 1970's eyecatcher which will make a great centerpiece. The sofa and chairs were found and imported by us from Milan, Italy. We have not been able to find a similar sofa like this which makes it a very rare piece. Also available are the matching pair of lounge armchairs.

SoldSpectacular and rare Nuvola 'Cocoon' pendant lamp by Tobia Scarpa - Flos - Italy, circa 1960. Similar models where initially designed by the Castiglioni brothers. The lamp is made of metal wire covered with a creme coloured shade made of thin spray-on plastic developed for US naval vessels.

We have four of these dining chairs available, with solid pine wood and round curves, these chairs are quite comfortable to sit in. In good condition with some normal signs of age and use.
