Museum piece! Prototype for a salon chair by Gerrit Rietveld Jr. 1920 - 1961, son of the famous Dutch designer Gerrit Rietveld Sr. who was part of the 'De Stijl' group. The chair was handmade by Gerrit Rietveld Jr. circa 1955. It is labeled 'Rietveld Meubelen Hilversum' (Rietveld Furniture Hilversum). A similar chair is part of the collection of the Central Museum in Utrecht, The Netherlands (inventorynr. 27154/001-002). It is labeled 'Rietveld Meubelen Hilversum' (Rietveld Furniture Hilversum).

SoldRare Coqueta chair by Pete Sans from 1987. Pete Sans devoted a number of years to developing the original structural frame of this chair, which supports a basket of woven wicker (cane) which serves as the seat. The effort won him the Adi-Fad Delta de Oro award in 1988. No longer in production and therefore a collectors item! The chair needs some restoration to the pith seat.
